Karjat- A perfect sight

Are you one of those who doesn’t always opt for high-calibre adventure, but rather prefer a more sedate kind of a trip. Karjat might be the place for you. Located in the Raigad district near Navi Mumbai, an enchanting hill station, Karjat is adorned with lush forest areas and loved by all the trekkers and adored by nature lovers. Karjat came to my sight from the Oscar awarded movie- Slumdog Millionaire. Nestled amidst the Western Ghats, Karjat is an ideal destination for honeymooners as well as families, where they can relish the scenic panorama of majestic mountains.

Also river Ulhas which originates from Karjat offers many water sport activities which is another reason that attracts the tourists here. Of late, Karjat has grown into a nice picnic spot by foreign travelers as well. With an amazing combination of rivers, mountains and greenery Karjat is one of my favorite destinations so far.
